Project Description
Seeing many parents struggle to keep up with their children's academic schedules during the pandemic presented a need for a course to be developed to assist in providing skills to adults in the area. Polk Vision, a nonprofit organization, paired with InTec, the instructional technology team of School Technology Services for Polk County Public Schools, to develop a series of three presentations aimed at improving technological skills, understanding the SIS and LMS of the district, and developing positive digital citizenship habits.
My Role

I worked with the SMEs at InTec to help develop and edit the three presentations

I created parent resource documents to provide notes for each presentation evening

I presented several presentation series for Polk Vision in low-income areas

I implemented a train-the-trainer session to increase the number of presentations given throughout the district

I trained mentors to assist learners as they demonstrated proficiency of subject matter on their devices
